A beautiful Chrysocolla with Malachite-- specimen.  It is the perfect size to hold and contemplate.  I hand picked this one simply for that reason.  Comforting, powerful and soft.  Calm and confident.

"Chrysocolla, derived from the Greek chrysos meaning "gold," is a copper mineral. Its copper content is responsible for chrysocolla's range of bright green to blue hues. Found in deposits alongside its cousins Blue Azurite and Malachite, this gemstone forms amorphous shapes called stalactites, which contribute to its ability to create a flow of positive energy that helps you adapt to changes during a spiritual transformation.  The Chrysocolla crystal stone was named by Theophrastus, a Greek philosopher, after the words for “gold” and “glue.” It’s historical uses often relied upon its unique coloration. Chrysocolla was used to solder gold due to the copper ore within it. It was also ground into a fine powder and used to create pigment for paint during the Renaissance period.

Cleopatra was said to have carried Chrysocolla with her, and it was also believed to be used by Roman Emperor Nero, who dusted the chariot race arenas with the stone powder. "
